Importance of Laylat al-Qadr
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months; the Quran and angels descend in it. Whoever stands in worship that night in faith and hope will have past sins forgiven.
History of Laylat al-Qadr
Allah revealed the Quran on the Night of Decree in Ramadan. The Prophet's mother was shown the night then it was taken from her memory; we are urged to seek it on the odd nights of the last ten days.
Ways to Celebrate
Striving in the last ten nights, standing in prayer, supplication, Quran recitation, reviving the night with worship, and the supplication "Allahumma innaka afuwwun...".
Allahumma innaka afuwwun tuhibbul afwa fa'fu anni
O Allah, You are the Pardoner, You love to pardon, so pardon me.
